<p>In the following post I explain how to pull apart an <strong>HP Pavilion dv6-3000 series laptop</strong>.</p>
<p>Also, this pull apart guide should work for HP Pavilion dv-4000 series laptops.</p>
<p>This is my THIRD disassembly guide for HP Pavilion dv6 line.<span id="more-3196"></span></p>
<blockquote><p><strong>NOTE:</strong> If your laptop doesn&#8217;t look like one shown on the picture above, check out the following pages:<br />
1. <a title="Take apart HP Pavilion dv6-1000 and dv6-2000 laptops" href="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/disassemble-hp-pavilion-dv6-laptop/" target="_blank">How to disassemble HP Pavilion dv6-1000 and dv6-2000 series laptops</a>.<br />

<p>Before you start taking it apart, make sure the laptop is turned off.</p>
<p>I would strongly advice to note locations of all removed screws. They all have different length. This will help you a lot during the reassembly process.</p>
<p><strong>STEP 1.</strong></p>
<p>Unlock and remove the main laptop battery.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove main battery" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000-disassembly-02.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 2.</strong></p>
<p>Unscrew the service cover and remove it from the laptop.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove service cover" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000-disassembly-03.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Under the service cover you can access the following laptop components:<br />
- Wireless card.<br />
- Both memory modules.<br />
- Hard drive.<br />
- CMOS battery.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Access internal components" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000-disassembly-04.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 3.</strong></p>
<p>Unplug the hard drive cable from the motherboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Disconnect hard drive cable" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000-disassembly-05.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>

<p><strong>STEP 10.</strong></p>
<p>Separate the keyboard from the laptop case and turn it upside down.</p>
<p>Now you can access the keyboard connector and release the cable.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Access keyboard connector" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000-disassembly-12.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 11.</strong></p>
<p>In order to unlock the connector you&#8217;ll have to lift up the left side of the cable retainer with your fingernail.</p>
<p>The retainer will open up at a 90 degree angle.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Unlock keyboard connector" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000/HP-Pavilion-dv6-3000-disassembly-13.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>

<p>In the following guide I explain how to disassemble an HP G72 laptop.</p>
<p>This guid also works for Compaq Presario CQ72 models.</p>
<p>In this particular case I&#8217;m taking apart an HP G72-B57CL laptop.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll go though the following major disassembly steps:</p>
<p><strong>STEP 1-6:</strong> Removing laptop hard drive and optical drive. Accessing CMOS battery, wireless card and memory modules.<br />
<strong>STEP 7-15:</strong> Disconnecting and removing laptop keyboard.<br />
<strong>STEP 16-20:</strong> Removing the top cover assembly.<br />
<strong>STEP 21-26:</strong> Removing laptop motherboard.<br />
<strong>STEP 27-30:</strong> Accessing laptop cooling fan and DC jack cable.</p>
<p><span id="more-3184"></span></p>
<p>Before you start, make sure the laptop is turned off. Also, I would recommend to keep track of all removed screws because they all have different length.</p>
<p>Draw a diagram with correct location of all removed screws. This will help tremendously during the reassembly process.</p>
<p><strong>STEP 1.</strong></p>
<p>Unlock and remove the main laptop battery.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove laptop battery" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-02.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 2.</strong></p>
<p>Remove four screws securing two service covers on the bottom of the laptop.</p>
<p>Lift up and remove both covers.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove service covers" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-03.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Under these service covers you can access the following laptop components:<br />
- Wireless card.<br />
- Both memory modules.<br />
- CMOS battery.<br />
- Hard drive.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Access hard drive memory CMOS battery" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-04.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 3.</strong></p>
<p>Remove four screws securing the hard drive assembly to the laptop case.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove hard drive screws" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-05.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 4.</strong></p>
<p>Disconnect the hard drive cable from the motherboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Disconnect hard drive cable" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-06.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 5.</strong></p>
<p>Lift up and remove the hard drive assembly.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove hard drive assembly" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-07.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 6.</strong></p>
<p>Remove one screw securing the optical drive.</p>
<p>Pull the optical drive to the shown direction and remove it from the laptop.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove optical drive" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-08.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 7.</strong></p>
<p>Remove four screws securing the keyboard on the bottom of the laptop.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove keyboard screws" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-09.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 8.</strong></p>
<p>It&#8217;s a little bit tricky to remove the keyboard from an HP G72 laptop and how&#8217;s here I did it.</p>
<p>Insert a small screwdriver into the screw hole. I&#8217;m using a T6 torn for that.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Push on keyboard" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-10.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 9.</strong></p>
<p>When you push on the screwdriver you&#8217;ll one side of the keyboard will separate from the top cover.</p>
<p>Insert your fingers under the keyboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Keyboard separates from bottom" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-11.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 10.</strong></p>
<p>Continue separating the keyboard from the top cover.</p>
<p><strong>NOTE:</strong> in my case the keyboard was glued to the top cover with sticky tape. I had to wiggle the keyboard in order to unglue it from the top cover.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Insert fingers under keyboard" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-12.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 11.</strong></p>
<p>Remove the keyboard from the laptop and turn it upside down.</p>
<p>Be careful, the keyboard still connected to the motherboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Continue removing keyboard" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-13.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 12.</strong></p>
<p>Before you pull the keyboard cable from the connector it&#8217;s necessary to unlock the connector.</p>
<p>In the following two steps I explain how to unlock the connector.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Access keyboard cable connector" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-14.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 13.</strong></p>
<p>Carefully lift up the left side of the cable retainer with your fingernail.</p>
<p>The retainer will open up at a 90 degree angle.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Unlock keyboard connector" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-15.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 14.</strong></p>
<p>On the following picture you can see the keyboard connector in the UNLOCKED position.</p>
<p>Now you can pull the cable from the connector.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Pull keyboard cable" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-G72-disassembly/HP-G72-laptop-disassembly-16.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 15.</strong></p>
<p>Remove the keyboard.</p>

<p>Today I post my second take-apart guide for HP Pavilion dv6 laptops.</p>
<p>HP Pavilion dv6 laptops have different body styles and they have different disassembly procedures. The following guide will work for dv6-6000 series laptops.</p>
<p>In this particular case I&#8217;m taking apart an HP Pavilion dv6-6013cl laptop.</p>
<p><span id="more-3171"></span></p>
<blockquote><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>UPDATE:</strong></span> If your laptop doesn&#8217;t look like one shown on the picture above, make sure to check out my other guides:</p>
<p>In my <a title="Take apart HP Pavilion dv6-1000 and dv6-2000" href="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/disassemble-hp-pavilion-dv6-laptop/" target="_blank">first disassembly guide</a> I explained how to take apart HP Pavilion dv6-1000 and dv6-2000 series laptops.</p>
<p>In <a title="HP Pavilion dv6-3000 and dv6-4000 disassembly" href="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/pull-apart-hp-pavilion-dv6-3000-series-laptop-guide-3/" target="_blank">my third disassembly guide</a> I&#8217;m covering HP Pavilion dv6-3000 and dv6-4000 series.</p></blockquote>
<p>Before you start taking it apart make sure the laptop is turned off.</p>
<p><strong>STEP 1.</strong></p>

<p>Continue removing the service cover with your fingers.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove hard drive memory cover" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-03.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 3.</strong></p>
<p>Remove the service cover.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Cover removed" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-04.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 4.</strong></p>
<p>Under the service cover you&#8217;ll get access to the following major laptop components:</p>
<p>- Both memory modules.<br />
- Wireless card.<br />
- CMOS battery.<br />
- Hard drive.</p>
<p>I will leave both memory modules and CMOS battery connected to the motherboard. It&#8217;s  not necessary to remove them for the purpose of my guide.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Access hard drive memory CMOS battery" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-05.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 5.</strong></p>
<p>Remove four screws securing the hard drive assembly.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove screws from hard drive" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-06.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 6.</strong></p>
<p>Unplug the hard drive cable from the motherboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Disconnect hard drive cable" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-07.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 7.</strong></p>

<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove hard drive" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-08.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 8.</strong></p>
<p>Remove one screw securing the DVD drive.</p>
<p>Pull the DVD drive to the right and remove it from the laptop.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove DVD optical drive" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-09.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 9.</strong></p>
<p>In order to remove the keyboard you&#8217;ll have to use the hole located on the left side from the wireless card.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Keyboard hole on bottom" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-10.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 10.</strong></p>
<p>Insert a small screwdriver into the hole.</p>
<p>NOTE: you&#8217;ll be pushing on the bottom side of the keyboard so don&#8217;t use a sharp screwdriver. I&#8217;m using a T6 torx screwdriver for that because it has a flat end. A small slotted screwdriver should work too.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Push on keyboard" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-11.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 11.</strong></p>
<p>Very genteelly push the screwdriver into the hole on the bottom of the laptop.</p>
<p>The top side of the keyboard will lift up a little bit and you should be able to insert your fingers under the keyboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Start removing keyboard" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-12.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>

<p><strong>STEP 13.</strong></p>
<p>Before you remove the keyboard you&#8217;ll have to disconnect the keyboard cable from the motherboard.</p>
<p>In the following two steps I explain how to unlock the connector.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Access keyboard cable connector" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-14.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 14.</strong></p>
<p>On this picture the keyboard connector shown in the LOCKED state.</p>
<p>Carefully lift up the left side of the cable retainer (brown piece) with your fingernail.</p>
<p>The retainer will open up at a 90 degree angle.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Unlock keyboard connector" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Guide2/Disassemble-HP-Pavilion-dv6-15.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>

<p>In this guide I explain how to replace the LCD screen on an Acer Aspire 1830T series laptop.</p>
<p>In my case the laptop was dropped and the image disappeared from the screen.</p>
<p><span id="more-3163"></span></p>
<p>Before you start, make sure the laptop is turned off.</p>
<p><strong>STEP 1.</strong></p>
<p>Unlock and remove the laptop battery.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove laptop battery" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-1830T-series/Acer-Aspire-1830T-screen-replacement-02.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 2.</strong></p>
<p>Insert your fingers between the screen bezel and LCD screen and start separating the bezel from the display assembly.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Start removing screen bezel" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-1830T-series/Acer-Aspire-1830T-screen-replacement-03.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 3.</strong></p>

<p>In this guide I explain how to disassemble an Acer Aspire 5742 series laptop.</p>
<p>In my case I&#8217;m taking apart an Acer Aspire 5742-6682 model.</p>
<p>Also, this guide will work for Acer Aspire 5742z laptops.</p>
<p><span id="more-3154"></span></p>
<p>Make sure the laptop is turned off before you start the disassembly process.</p>
<p><strong>STEP 1.</strong></p>
<p>Unlock and remove the laptop battery.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove laptop battery" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-02.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 2.</strong></p>
<p>Remove two screws securing the hard drive/memory cover on the bottom of the laptop.</p>
<p>Lift up and remove the cover.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove two screws from HDD cover" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-03.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Under the cover you&#8217;ll get access to the following laptop components:<br />
- Hard drive.<br />
- Wireless card.<br />
- CMOS battery.<br />
- Both memory modules.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Access hard drive and memory" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-04.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 3.</strong></p>
<p>The hard drive assembly secured by one screw located in the lower right part of the mounting bracket.</p>
<p>Remove one screw securing the hard drive.</p>
<p>Slide the hard drive assembly to the right to disconnect it from the motherboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove one screw securing hard drive" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-05.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 4.</strong></p>
<p>Lift up and remove the hard drive assembly from the laptop.</p>
<p>Acer Aspire 5742 series laptop comes with a regular 2.5&#8243; SATA hard drive. This hard drive can be replaced with any other large capacity 2.5&#8243; SATA HDD or 2.5&#8243; SSD.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Disconnect and remove laptop hard drive" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-06.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 5.</strong></p>
<p>Remove one screw securing the optical drive.</p>
<p>Pull the optical drive to the right and remove it from the laptop.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove DVD optical drive" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-07.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 6.</strong></p>
<p>NOTE: in order to remove and replace the keyboard it is not necessary to go through the previous disassembly steps. Just follow instructions in steps 6-11.</p>
<p>The keyboard secured to the laptop case by six spring loaded latches.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Unlock keyboard locks" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-08.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>In order to remove the keyboard it&#8217;s necessary to push on each latch with a small screwdriver and at the same time lift up the keyboard a little bit so the latch doesn&#8217;t lock back in place.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Push locking tab inside" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-09.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 7.</strong></p>
<p>After all latches unlocked you can insert your fingers under the keyboard (close to LCD screen) and start removing the keyboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Lift up keyboard" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-10.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 8.</strong></p>
<p>Continue removing the keyboard and place it upside down on the palmrest.</p>
<p>Be careful. The keyboard still connected to the motherboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Continue removing laptop keyboard" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-11.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>The keyboard cable connector located under the keyboard.</p>
<p>Before you remove the keyboard it&#8217;s necessary to unlock the connector and release the cable.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Access keyboard cable connector" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-12.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>In the following two steps I explain how to unlock the keyboard connector.</p>
<p><strong>STEP 9.</strong></p>
<p>Very carefully move the retaining tab about 2 millimeters to the shown direction.</p>
<p>The retaining tab must remain connected to the connector base.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Unlock keyboard connector" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-13.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>

<p><strong>STEP 13.</strong></p>
<p>Disconnect three cables from the motherboard (left to right):<br />
- Power button board cable.<br />
- Speaker cable.<br />
- Touchpad cable.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Disconnect cables on top cover assembly" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-17.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Disconnect the power button board cable and touchpad cable same way you disconnected the keyboard cable.</p>
<p>Unlock the connector by moving the retainer about 2 millimeters to the shown direction.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Unlock connector" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-18.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Pull cable from the connector.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Disconnect cable" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Acer-Aspire-5742/Acer-Aspire-5742-disassembly-19.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how to disconnect the speaker cable.</p>

<p>In the following guide I explain how to remove and replace the screen on a Lenovo E530 laptop.</p>
<p>In my case the LCD screen failed and started showing thin vertical lines running from top to bottom.</p>
<p><span id="more-3140"></span></p>
<p>Before you start make sure the laptop is turned off and battery removed.</p>
<p><strong>STEP 1.</strong></p>
<p>There are four square screw covers on the screen bezel.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Four screw covers on screen bezel" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-02.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Using a sharp object remove screw covers from the top side of the display.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove top screw covers" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-03.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Remove two more covers from the bottom side.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove bottom screw covers" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-04.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 2.</strong></p>
<p>Remove all four screws located under those covers.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll have to use a small screwdriver in order to remove bottom screws.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove screws" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-05.jpg" width="500" height="388" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 3.</strong></p>
<p>Insert your fingers between the front bezel and LCD screen and start separating the bezel from the display assembly.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll have to wiggle the bezel in order to unlock hidden latches.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Start separating screen bezel" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-06.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Continue separating the bezel on both sides of the display assembly. I&#8217;m using the guitar pick for that.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Use guitar pick to separate bezel" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-07.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 4.</strong></p>
<p>After the bezel separated on the top, move to the bottom side.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Separate screen bezel on top" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-08.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Lift up the screen bezel. As you see, the hinge cover is not part of the bezel.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Separate bezel from hinges" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-09.jpg" width="500" height="388" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 5.</strong></p>
<p>Remove the screen bezel from the display assembly.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove screen bezel" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-10.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 6.</strong></p>
<p>Carefully separate the LCD screen from the display back cover and remove three screws from the right side of the screen.</p>
<p>These screws securing the LCD screen to the mounting brackets.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove three screws on right side" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-11.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 7.</strong></p>
<p>Remove three more screws from the left side of the screen.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove three screws on left side" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-12.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 8.</strong></p>
<p>Now you can separate the screen from the display cover and place it the front side down on the keyboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Separate screen from back cover" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-13.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 9.</strong></p>
<p>The next step would be disconnecting the video cable from the screen.</p>
<p>The video cable connector secured by clear tape. Carefully peel off the tape.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Access laptop video cable" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-14.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 10.</strong></p>
<p>Disconnect the video cable connector from the screen.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Disconnect video cable from screen" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-15.jpg" width="500" height="411" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 11.</strong></p>
<p>Finally, you can remove the failed LCD screen from the laptop and replace it with a new one.</p>
<p>Replace the screen and assemble the laptop following all disassemble steps in the reverse order.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" alt="Remove laptop screen" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/Lenovo-E530-screen-replacement/replace-screen-lonovo-e530-16.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>You can search for a new replacement screen using the model number from the original screen.</p>
<p>The model number printed on the back label. In my case I had the following screen installed originally: LTN156AT24.</p>
<p>I found a <a href="http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&amp;pub=5574673312&amp;toolid=10001&amp;campid=5335918710&amp;customid=Lenovo+E530+screen&amp;mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_trksid%3Dp2050601.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3DLTN156AT24%26_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">new replacement screen here</a> after I searched the model number.</p>

<p>In the following guide I explain how to disassemble a MacBook Pro 15&#8243; (Mid 2010) notebook in order to remove and replace the keyboard.</p>
<p>In my case something sticky was spilled on the keyboard and it stopped working completely. In fact, the MacBook Pro didn&#8217;t even start with the damaged keyboard connected.</p>
<p>The keyboard is attached to the internal side of the top cover assembly. In order to remove and replace the keyboard the entire MacBook Pro has to be disassembled.</p>
<p><span id="more-3121"></span></p>
<p>You can find the year of your MacBook Pro <a title="Apple specs" href="http://support.apple.com/specs/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">here</a>. Just type the notebook serial number into the Search Tech Specs box.</p>
<p>The serial number can be located on the bottom case or memory slot.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="MacBook Pro serial number" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-02.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>For this repair you&#8217;ll need the following tools:<br />
- T-6 torx screwdriver.<br />
- PH000 Phillips screwdriver.<br />
- 1.5 mm slotted screwdriver ( I used it for removing battery screws).</p>
<p>MacBook Pro has a very small screws. I recommend using only high quality precision screwdrivers. I prefer Wiha screwdrivers.</p>
<p>Before you start the disassembly process make sure the MacBook Pro is turned off.</p>
<p>Also, keep track of all screws (they are all different). Make notes, pictures, etc&#8230; This will make your life much easier during the reassembly process.</p>
<p><strong>STEP 1.</strong></p>
<p>Remove ten screws securing the bottom cover.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove bottom screws" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-03.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 2.</strong></p>
<p>Separate the bottom cover from the notebook and remove it.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove MacBook Pro bottom cover" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-04.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Under the bottom cover you can access the following internal MacBook Pro components:<br />
- Memory modules.<br />
- Optical drive.<br />
- Cooling fans.<br />
- Hard drive.<br />
- Notebook battery.<br />
- Motherboard aka logic board.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Internal MacBook Pro components" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-05.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 3.</strong></p>
<p>The battery is secured by three special screws (tri-wing screws). I was able to remove them using a small 1.5mm slotted screwdriver without any problem.</p>
<p>Be careful, using a wrong screwdriver can easily strip the screw.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove battery screws" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-06.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 4.</strong></p>
<p>Lift up the battery and unplug the battery cable from the motherboard.</p>
<p>Remove the battery.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Disconnect and remove MacBook Pro battery" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-07.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 5.</strong></p>
<p>Unscrew two screws securing the hard drive mounting bracket.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove screws from hard drive bracket" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-08.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 6.</strong></p>
<p>Lift up and remove the hard drive bracket.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove hard drive bracket" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-09.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 7.</strong></p>
<p>Carefully remove the hard drive from the MacBook Pro and disconnect the hard drive cable.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove MacBook Pro hard drive" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-10.jpg" width="500" height="376" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 8.</strong></p>
<p>Remove both memory modules.</p>
<p>Spread latches on both sides of the memory slot. The top memory module with pop up at a 30 degree angle. Pull the top memory module from the slot.</p>
<p>After that pull the bottom memory module.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove MacBook Pro memory modules" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-11.jpg" width="500" height="376" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 9.</strong></p>
<p>Remove six screws securing the cooling fans (three screws per one fan).</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove screws from cooling fans" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-12.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 10.</strong></p>
<p>Disconnect both fan cables from the motherboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Disconnect cooling fan cable" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-13.jpg" width="500" height="376" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 11.</strong></p>
<p>Remove both cooling fans.</p>
<p>By the way, if your fans started making noise you can find <a href="http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&amp;pub=5574673312&amp;toolid=10001&amp;campid=5335918710&amp;customid=MacBook+Pro+15+fan&amp;mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_odkw%3DMacBook%2BPro%2B15%2522%2Bkeyboard%26_osacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp2045573.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3DMacBook%2BPro%2B15%2522%2Bfan%26_sacat%3D0" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">replacement fans here</a>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove MacBook Pro cooling fans" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-14.jpg" width="500" height="376" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 12.</strong></p>
<p>Remove two screws securing the keyboard and trackpad connectors shield.</p>
<p>Remove the shield.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove screws from metal cover" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-15.jpg" width="500" height="376" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 13.</strong></p>
<p>Disconnect 10 cables from the motherboard.</p>
<p>Be very careful with connectors 6 and 8. I&#8217;ll explain how to unlock different types of connectors in the following pictures.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Disconnect all cables from motherboard" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-16.jpg" width="500" height="376" /></p>
<p>Unplug the video cable (connector 10).</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Unplug video cable" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-17.jpg" width="500" height="376" /></p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how to disconnect the keyboard backlight cable (connector 6).</p>
<p>Carefully lift up the left side of the connector retainer with a small screwdriver.</p>
<p>The retainer will open up at a 90 degree angle.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Unlock backlight cable connector" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-18.jpg" width="500" height="384" /></p>
<p>Now you can pull the keyboard backlight cable from the connector.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove keyboard backlight cable" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-19.jpg" width="500" height="384" /></p>
<p>Remove the keyboard cable (connector 8) the same way.</p>
<p>First, lift up the connector retainer.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Unlock keyboard cable connector" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-20.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>After that pull the keyboard cable from the connector.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove keyboard cable" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-21.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Lift up and disconnect the speaker cable (connector 4).</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Disconnect speaker cable" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-22.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Lift up and disconnect the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth assembly connector. Unlock connectors 1,3,5,7,9 the same way.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Disconnet Wi-Fi/Bluetooth board cable" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-23.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>Unplug the camera cable form the connector on the motherboard.</p>

<p><strong>STEP 15.</strong></p>
<p>Start removing the MacBook Pro motherboard from the left side.</p>
<p>Lift up the left side and work the right side of the motherboard out of the notebook case.</p>
<p>Note: you can leave the MagSafe board connected to the notebook case but in this case you&#8217;ll have to unplug it from the motherboard.</p>
<p>I found it easier to remove the motherboard with the MagSafe board attached.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Lift up left side of motherboard" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-28.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>

<p>Remove three screws securing the optical drive.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove screws from optical drive" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-32.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 20.</strong></p>
<p>Lift up and remove the optical drive.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove MacBook Pro optical drive" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-33.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>

<p><strong>STEP 24.</strong></p>
<p>Now you can start separating the keyboard backlight from the keyboard.</p>
<p>The backlight has a few layers. Do not separate them from each other.</p>
<p>Be careful if you plan to use the backlight with a new keyboard.</p>
<p>I purchased a new keyboard WITH backlight so I didn&#8217;t care much about the original backlight.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Separate and remove keyboard backlight" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-38.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>

<p><strong>STEP 29.</strong></p>
<p>Remove two screws securing the power button.</p>
<p>NOTE: the power button is permanently attached to the keyboard. It&#8217;s part of the keyboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove screws from power button" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-43.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>

<p><strong>STEP 31.</strong></p>
<p>While removing the keyboard pay attention to the power button.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove power button" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-45.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>There is a metal ring (spring) located under the power button. Do not lose it. Do not forget to install this spring back in place under the new power button.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Power button spring" alt="" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/MacBook-Pro-Mid-2010-keyboard/MacBook-Pro-15-2010-disassembly-46.jpg" width="500" height="375" /></p>

<p>In this guide I show how to remove and replace damaged or failed LCD screen on a HP Pavilion g7 laptop.</p>
<p>As you see, in my case the screen is broken. It&#8217;s cracked badly and the left side doesn&#8217;t show any image.</p>
<p>Make sure the laptop is turned off before you start replacing the screen.</p>
<p><span id="more-3113"></span></p>
<p><strong>STEP 1.</strong></p>
<p>Remove the laptop battery.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove laptop battery" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-02.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 2.</strong></p>
<p>You&#8217;ll find two screw covers on the lower left and right corners of the laptop.</p>
<p>Remove the left cover with a sharp object.</p>
<p>Remove the screw.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove left screw cover" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-03.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 3.</strong></p>
<p>Remove the right screw cover.</p>
<p>Remove the screw.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove right screw cover" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-04.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 4.</strong></p>
<p>Now start separating the screen bezel from the display back cover.</p>
<p>For separating the bezel I&#8217;m using the guitar pick. You can use any other piece of plastic.</p>
<p>Insert your finger between the bezel and back cover and at the same time work with the guitar pick to separate the bezel.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll have to wiggle the bezel to unlock hidden latches.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Start removing screen bezel" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-05.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 5.</strong></p>
<p>Continue removing the screen bezel with your fingers.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Continue removing screen bezel" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-06.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 6.</strong></p>
<p>When the bezel removed on the upper side of the display panel move the lower side.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Separate screen bezel on top" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-07.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 7.</strong></p>
<p>Close the display. Using the guitar pick separate the bezel from the cover on the back side of the laptop.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Separate screen bezel on bottom" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-08.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 8.</strong></p>
<p>Now you can remove the screen bezel from the laptop.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove screen bezel" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-09.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 9.</strong></p>
<p>Remove two screws securing the screen to the right mounting bracket.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove two screws from right side" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-10.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 10.</strong></p>
<p>Remove two screws securing the screen to the left mounting bracket.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Remove two screws from left side" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-11.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 11.</strong></p>
<p>Separate the LCD screen from the display back cover and place it face down on the keyboard.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Separate LCD screen from back cover" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-12.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 12.</strong></p>
<p>Now you can access the video cable on the back of the screen.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="Access video cable" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-13.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>

<p><img class="alignnone" title="Unplug video cable from screen" src="http://www.insidemylaptop.com/images/HP-Pavilion-g7-screen/replace-screen-on-hp-pavilion-g7-14.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><strong>STEP 14.</strong></p>
<p>Remove the damaged/failed LCD screen from the laptop and replace it with a new one.</p>
<p>Assemble the laptop following all steps in the reverse direction.</p>

<p>You can search for a new replacement LCD screen using the model number from the original screen.</p>
<p>My HP Pavilion g7 laptop had the a screen with the following model number: LTN173KT02.</p>
<p>I found a brand new LCD screen <a href="http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&amp;pub=5574673312&amp;toolid=10001&amp;campid=5335918710&amp;customid=HP+Pavilion+g7+screen&amp;mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_nkw%3DLTN173KT02%26_sacat%3D0%26_odkw%3DLTN173KT02%26_osacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">available here</a>.</p>
<p>If your HP Pavilion g7 laptop has a different screen, just search the model number.</p>
