i have an hp notebook envy dv5,,i was using it and decided to shut it down but it failed to show screen again at power on,,,all lights are ok and the fan but black screen. in the morning i put it on and it workec again normally but after a shutdown again no display. what can be the issue with this machine.thanks

About HP Pavilion dv5-1334 with remote… Hum! The laptop work fine, But the cover and the rest look very bad very use up – The hard drive cover and the memory cover are missing
But the laptop work fine. Question, is it worth to fix that laptop, it got nice feature on it.
A new laptop with all those feature must be expensive, god am little bit confuse about it

sir just a little question…… mother board 100% working key board ok hard drive ok memory card 100% ok.. the only problem is black screen, i try to use external monitor and it works properly but when i use the original monitor black screen will appear.. any suggestions sir?? do u think i should replace the lcd or should i clean the video cable>??? hoping for immediate responce thnxxxx hptech…

Since 2009 it worked quite well until last week when a trojan called CRYPTOWALL 3.0 destroyed all my files….. I had to re-install every software from HP, but it does not switch on when hot.

I guess the fan has stopped working … Don’t know if it is related to the virus.

It’s terribly complicated to dismantle …. Your guidance is very useful.
