@ nam,
It looks like Aspire v5 can needs DDR3 1333 MHz RAM.
It supports 8 GB RAM (use two 4GB modules).

Also do i have to remove the battery and follow all the steps if i’m to just upgrade the ram?

You don’t have to remove the battery but probably you should disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard.
