I tried it and it doesn’t, so does that mean there may be something more wrong with it than just the screen?

The screen is on when viewed with a light, but the back light has failed.
Is this likely to be a coincidence or have I done something wrong?
The new cable looks fine, as do the connectors (although I had an issue getting the one off the back of the screen).
Camera, mic & touch screen all work

Thanks for the excellent tutorial. Purchased one of these for my wife last year and today found out that half of the screws holding the cover on are missing. I tightened the ones that remain but want to replace the missing ones. Any idea on a part number for them so that I can order more?
