It’s very easy to upgrade memory in a Dell XPS M1330. Fortunately, you don’t have to disassemble the laptop because both memory slots are accessible through the bottom.
All you have to do is remove the memory cover from the bottom and you’ll see both RAM slots right in there.
How much memory can you install?
Dell XPS M1330 laptop will take up to 4GB RAM total and you cannot run this laptop with less than 1GB. You can install up to 2GB memory module into each slot.
The laptop memory will run in dual channel mode (faster performance) ONLY if you both slots are occupied and both RAM modules match in size.
What memory type should you use?
You should use DDR2 PC2-5300 667MHz SODIMM modules.
Static electricity can kill your laptop. I recommend wearing an anti-static wrist strap while working with internal parts of your laptop.
