Maybe the OP can update his article with the new link?

The redirect works fine and I updated the link in the post.

Hi, guys.

I'm the owner of original guide linked above. I have deactivated that old web site, but I've also set up a redirect to that guide's new location. So clicking that link should take you there. If not, you can find it at -

Maybe the OP can update his article with the new link?

You can actually run more than 4 GB of RAM in the M700, but you can do it by running Windows 7 in 64-bit mode. Some people have reported 6 GB working without problems; will 8 GB works is debatable. In addition, you can also upgrade chips in this laptop besides the RAM. It is one of the most expandable laptops out there.

Andreas,

thanks a lot, but unfortunately the link to the disassembly guide ends in a 404…
Apparently, the author of this guide has deleted the post. I cannot find it either.
Well...
I'll created the disassembly guide myself very soon and post it at www.irisvista.com/tech/
I already took the pictures, now I have to compile them into a guide.

Thanks for the info, I opened the bottom slot but was wondering where the other memory module was. I wonder if this will void the warranty..
