Here are instructions for taking apart a Dell Inspiron 2600 and 2650 laptops. Yes, I know, it’s an older model but many people still using them, so I decided to mention this disassembly guide on my site.
With this guide you’ll be able to perform the following common repair procedures:
1. Remove and replace laptop keyboard.
2. Access the internal memory slot (located under keyboard) and replace or upgrade the memory module.
3. Remove and clean the cooling module. Replace the cooling fan.
You’ll need a small Phillips head screwdriver and a small jeweler’s screwdriver. You’ll also need a 5mm hex socket or wrench. The Phillips is for removing the gazillion screws that hold the freaking thing together. The jeweler’s screwdriver is mainly for very carefully disconnecting the various connectors that you will come across. The 5mm is for removing the nuts on the serial port and the parallel port.
This guide will be a good addition to the official service manual for Dell Inspiron 2600/2650. You can find new and used spare parts for your laptop here.
Static electricity can kill your laptop. I recommend wearing an anti-static wrist strap while working with internal parts of your laptop.

Glad to know someone has the same laptop as me. When I was looking for how to take it apart, I meant the entire bottom base. Ha, thanks though I did it on my own.
