Replacing hard drive on Sharp MM20 laptop

Wondering where to find the hard drive on a Sharp MM20 laptop? The hard drive is hidden inside the laptop and you cannot easily access it from the bottom of the laptop. You’ll have to take the whole thing apart. This tutorial was created especially for this model and explains how to disassemble and get inside a Sharp MM20 laptop.
WARNING! This laptop has a 1.8″ hard drive installed and you cannot use a regular size notebook hard drive in this model.
One thing has always bugged me, though: the small 20GB hard drive. However, there was nothing to be done for it, since the system has a 1.8″ disk and I could not find any replacements — I think these things mostly end up in iPods…
Then, about a month ago, I found the Hitachi C4K60 60GB 1.8″ disk
Here are Hitachi’s specifications for 60GB, 40GB, 30GB and 20GB Travelstar C4K60 series hard drives.
You can find a new replacement drive if you search online by the following model number:
20GB - HTC426020G7AT00
30GB - HTC426030G7AT00
40GB - HTC426040G9AT00
60GB - HTC426060G9AT00

Most excellent description of how to upgrade an Actius MM20. I just added a new wifi card and a IDE SSD. It tool less than an hour to have my MM20 up and running. Thanks to your effort I saved piles of time. Much appreciated!
