Most likely you’ll have to replace the fan. Apparently your fan has a bad bearing.

I tried to take the bottom off the notebook with no luck. I took out all the screws on the bottom but the computer still seems to be snapped together very tightly.

Most likely there are screws under the keyboard. Take a look at this disassembly guide. It’s a completely different laptop, but the disassembly steps should be very similar.
