Chris,

link on written instructions for changing the keyboard, that link entitled “these instructions” appears to be a dead link. thanks

Apparently, they removed this guide from their website.
Thanks for letting me know, I'm removing the link.
Go to the Acer category in the right sidebar. You'll find many different guides for Acer laptops. Replacing the keyboard is similar for most models. Read through a few guides and you'll get an idea how to replace the keyboard.

Carl Winters,

How do I fix a noisy fan in my Acer Aspire 3620 notebook? Something may be stuck in the fan but I have been unsuccessful in blowing it out with compressed air. Can the fan be lubricated?

Most likely you'll have to replace the fan. Apparently your fan has a bad bearing.

I tried to take the bottom off the notebook with no luck. I took out all the screws on the bottom but the computer still seems to be snapped together very tightly.

Most likely there are screws under the keyboard. Take a look at this disassembly guide. It's a completely different laptop, but the disassembly steps should be very similar.
