Is this a vertical line about 1-3 pixels wide running from the top of the screen to the bottom? If yes, this is a problem with the LCD screen.

Lee,
In my case I transferred only the internal layers but I didn't transfer the LCD.
In your case the LCD is cracked and I'm not sure if you can transfer it. There could be many different problems - the video cable connector will be different, the circuit board (attached to the LCD) might be shaped differently than the original one, the LCD might require a specific video cable, etc...
Before you purchase a new screen call the seller and ask them witch LCD you should use. Maybe you don't have to transfer anything and they have your screen (or a substitute) in stock. Call them first.

Hi,
Thanks for the answer C.J. But is it possible to take the LCD panels (3 LCD pieces??) out of the casing of a same size + resolution Samsung LCD (excluding connectors, backlight lamp etc.), and then use the pieces to replace the cracked ones? I read your previous instruction on removing the LCD pieces from a DELL and then transfer them to another DELL which had a dirty LCD. So is this the same case as mine? Also, I did a search on screentekinc and it appears that they have 75 Samsung screens for my X20.
thanks,
