When some keys on your laptop keyboard stopped working properly, it’s possible to fix the problem by reseating the keyboard connector on the motherboard as explained in this article.
Suddenly it may happen that a group of keys on your Pavilion laptop (the most typical example is “G”, “H”, “Backspace”, “apostrophe”, and “F4″) becomes intermittently insensitive. In some cases the problem only occurs when the notebook has been turned on for 10 minutes.
A thrifty solution – reseating the connector.
This instructions were made for a HP laptop. Keyboard removal instructions for most HP laptops are available in HP service and maintenance guides.
If reseating the keyboard connector doesn’t help and keys still not working, most likely you’ll have to replace the whole keyboard.
