Hey, I'm the guy with fat fingers. I broke the wires on my bluetooth adapter when I closed up the laptop. I had the wires sitting on a screw hole by mistake. I bought another adapter and was more surgical in my efforts, and voila, it works! I put mine inside an Acer Extensa 4420. Stuck the adapter above the motherboard, not on the board, close to the motherboard battery. It was not easy, but I did not like having the bluetooth switch that was not functional.
