Apparently the power jack was resoldered by an inexperienced guy. But if it works it works. You can use this guide for <a target="_blank" href="http://www.laptoprepair101.com/laptop/2007/12/06/dc-power-jack-repair-guide/" rel="nofollow">replacing a broken power jack</a>. Yep, it doesn’t look great. Apparently the power jack was resoldered by an inexperienced guy. But if it works it works.
You can use this guide for replacing a broken power jack.
