I want to be certain I order the correct part. Is there more than one fan, and do you have a guide for replacing the fan in this model?
Toshiba Satellite A45 laptop has two cooling fans. The first fan – primary fan (CPU fan) and you cannot see it on the picture. The primary fan is located under the motherboard and most likely this one is making noise. The secondary cooling fan is pictured in the top right corner.
You can find both fans if you search by the following part numbers:
Primary cooling fan: P000392060
Secondary cooling fan: P000392080
These instructions can help you to remove the laptop top cover. You’ll have to figure out how to remove the motherboard and access the primary fan yourself but it is not difficult.
