James,
The parallel port will not help to unlock a Portege M200 laptop.
There is only one way to clear the BIOS password on this model - take it to the authorized repair center. The authorized technician will have to call Toshiba in order to clear the password.

Jeremy,

After using the parallel connector, do you create a new password?
After the BIOS password is cleared it's not necessary to set it up again, it's up to you.

Do you have to use this connector from now on?
No. You use the parallel plug only once to get rid of the BIOS password. After the password has been cleared and your laptop successfully loaded Windows ,you can remove the parallel plug.

Juel,

I have hp pavillion dv2000 and it has no display and have one long and two short beep sound and i couldn't find what the error massage mean
Not sure what this message means, but I would check memory first. Could be memory related problem.
You have two modules installed, right? Try reseating both modules. Try removing memory modules one by one and start the laptop with only one of them in place. It's possible that one of the memory modules failed and by removing them one by one you can find out witch one is causing the problem.

eyouel,
Did you purchase this laptop in the USA? Call Toshiba, explain what is going on and most likely they will clear the BIOS password under warranty.
