In this guide I show how to remove and replace LCD screen on HP G62 or Compaq Presario CQ62 laptop.
You can use these instructions for the following repairs: replacing failed or broken LCD screen, replacing bad video cable, replacing damaged hinges, etc…
The display panel has to be separated from the laptop base. You can follow steps 1-21 in this HP G62 or Compaq Presario CQ62 disassembly guide.
STEP 1.
There are only two screws securing the screen bezel to the display cover.
These screws hidden under two screw seals in lower left and right corners of the display panel.

Today I show how to remove and replace broken LCD screen on HP Pavilion dv6 laptop.
With instructions shown in this guide you should be able do the following laptop repairs: replace LCD screen, change video cable, replace broken hinges, etc…
The display panel can be disassembled only when it’s separated from the laptop base. Follow steps 1-18 in my first HP Pavilion dv6 disassembly guide.
STEP 1.
You’ll find two screw covers in the lower left and right corners of the display panel.

In the following guide I’ll be taking apart a Sony Vaio VPCF1 laptop. I’m doing that in order to remove and replace damaged LCD screen. In this guide I’ll show how to remove laptop keyboard, media button board, speakers and of course LCD screen.
The full laptop model name is Sony Vaio VPC-F11KFX/B.
Also, there is another model number listed on the bottom: Model PCG-F1114L.

In this guide I explain how to remove and replace LCD screen with inverter board in a Compaq Presario v2000 laptop. Also, you can use this guide for removing and replacing the keyboard.
Most likely this guide will work for some other Compaq Presario models. If it works for you please mention the model number in comments after this post.
In order to take apart the display panel and access LCD screen, it’s necessary to separate the display panel assembly from the laptop base.
