In this guide I explain how to replace LCD screen on an Asus K53U laptop.
This is my second guide for this model. In the first guide I explained how to disassemble Asus K53U laptop body and access internal components.

In the following guide I show how to remove and replace the LCD screen on a HP G42 or Compaq Presario CQ42 laptop.
In this particular case I’m removing screen from a HP G42-303DX laptop.
In order to replace the LCD screen it’s necessary to separate the display panel from the laptop base first. Otherwise you will not be able to remove the screen bezel. Check out my first HP G42 and Compaq Presario CQ42 disassembly guide for the display panel removal instructions (steps 1-27).
OK, let’s assume the display pane has been removed and now we can start taking it apart.

On this page you’ll find complete disassembly instructions for a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop.
This is my second guide for HP Pavilion dv7 laptop.
In this particular case I’m taking apart a HP Pavilion dv7-4177NR model.
I believe this guide should work for the following series: HP Pavilion dv7-3000 and dv7-4000.
READ THIS: I found that HP Pavilion dv7 laptops come in different body types. If your laptop doesn’t look like one shown in this guide, check out my first HP Pavilion dv7 disassembly guide (for dv7-1000 series) or my third HP Pavilion dv7 disassembly guide (for dv7-6000 series).
As you see this laptop has a cracked screen. My target is replacing the damaged screen but I’ll do a few extra steps and show how to disassemble the entire laptop.
It’s not easy to replace the LCD screen on this HP laptop. In order to do so it’s necessary remove the laptop palmrest assembly (STEPS 1-19), separate the display panel from the laptop body (STEP 20-25) and only after that disassemble the display and replace the screen (STEP 33-48).
Also, I show how to remove the laptop motherboard and access the cooling fan (STEPS 26-32) but it’s not necessary to go though these steps in order to replace the screen.

In this guide I’ll be replacing the LCD screen on a Dell Inspiron N5030 laptop.
You should be able to use same instructions for Dell Inspiron N5020 and M5030 models.
In this post I explain how to disassemble the display panel, disconnect the video cable and remove the screen.

In this guide I show how to remove and replace broken screen on Acer Aspire 5560 series laptops.
Most likely this guide will work for some other Acer Aspire models. If it fits your laptop please mention the model number in commends after this post.
Acer Aspire 5560 uses a LED-backlit LCD screen which is not very expensive. I’ll explain how to find a compatible replacement screen at the end of this guide. Let’s go though the screen removal procedure first.

In this guide I show how to replace LCD screen on HP Pavilion dv4 laptop.
HP Pavilion dv4 laptop comes with two different types of screens installed:
1. LCD screen with CCFL backlight (requires screen inverter).
2. LCD screen with LED backlight.
In this guide I’ll be replacing LCD with CCFL backlihgt.
Also you can use this guide for replacing LED LCDs but they don’t have inverter boards so you’ll have to skip steps 8 and 9.

Today I show how to replace cracked LCD screen on Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop. The procedure is very similar to replacing LCD screen on many other Dell laptops and takes about 30 minutes.
Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop uses two different types of LCD screens:
1. Old style LCD screen with CCFL backlight.
2. Newer style LCD screen with LED backlight.
In my case I’m replacing LCD screen with LED backlight.

In this guide I explain how to replace broken screen on HP 2000 laptop. In my case the screen was accidentally damaged and the image disappeared completely.
To be precise, I’m working on an HP 2000-210US laptop.
I would suggest making some notes during the disassembly process about screw locations. Some screws have different length. Your notes will be helpful when you assemble the laptop back together.
