In this guide I explain how to change LED backlit LCD screen on an Asus UL30VT laptop.
The guide should work for all models in the Asus UL30V series line.
To be precise, the full name of the laptop I’m working with is Asus UL30VT-X1.
The LCD screen replacement procedure is pretty much straight forward and shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes.

In the following guide I explain how to remove the LCD screen and inverter board from an Acer TravelMate 8100 laptop.
I’m taking it apart because the screen backlight went off. The laptop still turns on but the image on the screen is very dim.
From my experience I know that most likely it’s either bad inverter or failed backlight lamp inside the screen.
In the following guide I’ll show how to remove and access both parts and also show some basic troubleshooting technique.

In this guide I explain how to remove and replaced damaged screen in an Asus Eee PC 1201n netbook. There is a good chance this guide fits other Asus Eee netbooks. If it works for you, please mention the model number in comments after the post.
Asus Eee PC 1201n netbook has a LED-backlit screen. This screen is not cheap and replacing it in a laptop repair shop probably doesn’t make sense because the repair may cost a few hundred dollars. But if you can find a cheap screen and replace it yourself it’s a different story.

In this guide I’ll be replacing failed LCD screen in a Gateway MT3000 series laptop.
To be precise, I’m fixing a Gateway MT3707 laptop which has a failed backlight lamp inside the LCD screen.
Problem description: The laptop starts with reddish image on the screen and after a few seconds the screen light goes completely off. The image is still on the screen but it’s very dark. The reddish image indicates a problem with the backlight lamp. I tested laptop with a new backlight lamp and it works fine. In this case the entire LCD screen has to be replaced.

This video explains how to remove and replace the LCD screen and inverter board in Acer Aspire 5580, 5570 and 3680 series laptops.
It’s not necessary to separate the display panel from the laptop base in order to remove the LCD and inverter. You can do it while the display is still attached to the base.
