Removing touchscreen from Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260.

In this guide I will show how to remove the touchscreen assembly from a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260 laptop. For re-assembly instructions just follow all these steps in reverse direction.

The touchscreen assembly has the LCD screen and the digitizer permanently attached to each other so we’ll be removing them as one unit.

Let me answer a couple of questions before you asked them:

  1. Is it possible to replace just the keyboard without replacing the entire top case? It’s possible but not easy. The keyboard is riveted to the top case. Take a look at the last picture.
  2. Is it possible to upgrade RAM? No, it’s not. The RAM is integrated into the motherboard. It’s shown in the step 11.
