In this guide I’ll be replacing LCD screen on a Gateway NV57H13u laptop.
This laptop has a badly cracked screen which cannot be used anymore.

In the following guide I explain how to disassemble a Gateway NV series laptop. To be accurate, I’m working on a Gateway NV53 laptop (NV5302u). It also says model: MS2285 on the bottom.
I’m taking it apart in order to fix broken DC jack. The DC jack is soldered to the motherboard, so the whole laptop has to be disassembled and motherboard removed. With the following guide you should be able to remove and replace (if needed) all main laptop parts.

In this guide I’ll be replacing failed LCD screen in a Gateway MT3000 series laptop.
To be precise, I’m fixing a Gateway MT3707 laptop which has a failed backlight lamp inside the LCD screen.
Problem description: The laptop starts with reddish image on the screen and after a few seconds the screen light goes completely off. The image is still on the screen but it’s very dark. The reddish image indicates a problem with the backlight lamp. I tested laptop with a new backlight lamp and it works fine. In this case the entire LCD screen has to be replaced.

In my case I’m taking apart a Gateway P-6825 but the guide should work for the entire P-series line.

In this guide I explain how to disassemble a Gateway MX (Model #MA2A) series laptop. To be precise, I’m taking apart a Gateway MX6650 laptop. If this guide works for your Gateway laptop, please mention the model number in the comment below.
The main purpose of this repair is replacing the laptop base cover. A piece of the base assembly where the right hinge connected broke off and the whole base assembly has to be replaced.

In this guide I explain how to remove and replace the broken LCD screen in a Gateway M7 series laptop. I’m fixing a Gateway M-6846 laptop. It also says Model No.: SA1 on the bottom. In this guide I will remove a broken LCD screen from a Gateway MT6704 (Model MA7) laptop and replace it with a new screen. As I mentioned in my previous article, where I was replacing the laptop keyboard, this guide will work for many other Gateway laptops in MT6700 line.
Before you start, turn off the laptop, unplug the power adapter and remove the battery.

In the following guide I will be removing the keyboard from a Gateway MT6704 (Model MA7) laptop. I believe this guide will work for many other Gateway laptops. Take a look at the sticker on the bottom of your laptop. If you can see Model MA7 under the Gateway logo, most likely you can use this guide.
First of all, turn off the laptop, unplug the AC power adapter and remove the battery.
Now remove covers from the wireless card and memory. I mentioned the hard drive cover, but I’m not going to remove it.
